6 Simple Things You Can Do - Relieving Stress

By Veronica Carrillo

The world today is very different as compared to what it was 50 years ago. There are more open opportunities being offered to both sexes allowing women to showcase their skills as well in terms of management, designs, concepts, and problem solving. Now it seems that the place of women is not only in the home but can also be found in almost all aspects of society.

Breathe slowly and deeply several times a day. Breath is essential to life. It brings required oxygen for metabolism. It carries away toxins we no longer need. When we are caught in a stress response, our breathing tends to become rapid and shallow. When we breathe slowly and deeply we relax. Drink at least 8 glasses of pure water every day. This practice supports our healthy hydration. We lose fluid every day as part of our natural body processes. When we fail to replace it we can become mildly or severely dehydrated. Virtually every biochemical reaction in our bodies requires adequate water. To function with optimum health drink pure water or herb tea and avoid caffeinated drinks.

Eat a diet rich in whole foods, fruits and vegetables. These plant sources of nutrition provide ideal natural fuel for healthy vital bodies. Whole grains, beans, fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds nourish us with calories, protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants which are vital for optimum health. Allow yourself adequate deep sleep -- at least 7 hours per night. Restful sleep is essential for maintaining health. It allows our bodies to repair and rejuvenate after a long active day. After a good night sleep, most people find the next day flows with greater ease, less stress and more happiness.

When looking for expert help, try looking up stress management training programs on the internet and you will find that there are plenty of programs available that you can learn from, with whatever you may be dealing with. Stress management training will prove itself invaluable when you feel that you are beginning to feel burned out and have no other methods in your arsenal that seem to work.

Why? Because it recharged my soul. And the look of love from my wife's face when she walked in the door, saw it and found out I had cut it down myself, was worth more than any amount of money. Sure, I could have sat at home on the computer and been working for those 2 hours and probably done something that would have pulled in a lot of money. But sometimes you need to walk away from your business and recharge yourself. What is the reason you started working in the first place? Freedom. Freedom to do what you want when you want without thinking of the cost. So when your work keeps you away from your loved ones or ties you up with constant money concerns then it's doing the exact opposite of what you wanted from it. We need to stop and look at what we are doing sometimes. Don't just get caught up in what is going on around you. Remember WHY you were doing something in the first place. Make sure that what is happening is still in line with your goals. If it's not, then take a break a change it.

With the correct training though, you can expect to see results in just a short amount of time. Teaching invaluable information based on actual experience and the possible number of solutions that you will be able to use as well as how to modify your perception in order to change a certain situation. If you are interested, do a little research first and see how each training program may help you in relieving your stress and keeping it at bay in order to perform a 110% everyday.
